What we aim for

We build this website, and the client portal behind it, to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We build websites for a living, and how well our own works for everybody is the fairest test of whether we should be trusted with yours.

We describe this site as partially conformant with those guidelines: most of it meets them, and the parts we know do not are listed below rather than left for you to find.

What we check, on every change

These checks run automatically against every public page before any change reaches the site. A change that fails one does not ship.

• Text can be read. Color contrast is measured on every page, in light and dark mode, against the WCAG AA thresholds.
• Pictures are described. Every image either carries a text description or declares itself decoration.
• The site works without a mouse. Every link and button has a name a screen reader can say, nothing hides a focused control, nothing traps the keyboard, and a full pass through the home page with the Tab key reaches a new control every time.
• Nothing scrolls sideways on a phone screen 320 pixels wide.
• Motion respects your setting. If your device asks for reduced motion, nothing on this site moves on its own. Not a gentler animation: none.
• Every page says what it is. One main heading, a title, and the language it is written in declared, so software reading the page aloud starts in the right language.

What we know is not there yet

• The client portal sits behind a sign-in, and our automated checks do not sign in. It is built to the same rules by the same people, but it has not been measured the way the public site has, and this page does not claim that it has.
• Nobody has audited the site by hand. Automated checks catch what can be measured. They do not catch a confusing page, and we would rather say so than claim a standard we have not had somebody test with a screen reader end to end.
• Some pieces are built by other companies. The check that confirms you are a person before a form sends, the page where you book a call, and the invoices you can download from the portal are made by Cloudflare, Calendly and Stripe. We chose them partly for their own accessibility work, and we have not tested them ourselves.

Tell us. Say which page it was, what you were trying to do, and what happened, and if you can, what you were using to browse. We reply the same business day, and we either fix it or tell you plainly why we cannot yet.

How this page is kept true

The date at the top is when somebody last read this statement against the site and decided it still held. The checks it describes are code in this site’s own repository and run whether or not anybody remembers them. When a gap listed above is closed, this page changes the same day.

Language

This statement is published in English and Spanish. Where the two differ, the English text governs, and the Spanish is provided so that a Spanish reader is told the same things on the same day.
